This is an altered or abnormal tissue reaction after
exposure to an antigen. This antigen is known as allergen.
The allergen may
reach the tissue by direct contact qith the skin, various mucous membranes of
the organ or through the blood stream after absorption
Allergic reactions occur if the body tissues are sensitive
to the allergen. They are caused by a wide range of substances and conditions
namely pollens, animal hair, dust, cosmetics, vaccines, serums, poisonous
plants, heat, cold, sunlight, oranges, milk, eggs, wheat, fish, chocolates, sea
